About Hight Heels & Hoodoo
Tiffany seems like a typical blond bimbo, but underneath all that plastic surgery are nerves of steel. She’s so determined to get what she wants that she hires a Gullah root doctor to help her cross over into the spirit world for one last conversation with her grandmother. But this party girl should have remembered magic always comes with a price.
High Heels & Hoodoo was made by sibling filmmakers Brian Rish and Jocelyn Rish and funded by the South Carolina Film Commission’s Indie Grants program. The program is a partnership between the SC Film Commission and Trident Technical College designed to provide South Carolinians that are currently making films with resources that will add quality, ingenuity, and creativity to their projects. The program’s goals are to help South Carolina filmmakers tell their stories, create industry exposure for the state’s film industry, and provide Trident Technical College film students with training opportunities.
High Heels & Hoodoo is the second film by the Rish sibling team. Their first film Saying Goodbye won several awards on its film festival tour.
